In the Checklist Manager, when looking at the details of a specific checklist, these options are shown when creating or editing a checklist item.

Name and Description

These text boxes describe the checklist item. The "name" is used like a title while description can be longer text.

Option Types

Predefined Options

These options are colored boxes that can be clicked by a user. Each option can have a text description, plus a color.

Multiple Options

A common default is two choices, one for "positive" and one for "negative". However, multiple options can be listed. Simply check the "Add Option" button to create more.

If there is space to show the options side-by-side the app will try that first. Otherwise the options are stacked.  See these examples.

Changing Colors

A color can be useful for helping a user understand the sentiment of their choice. Red for "bad" and green for "good" are the defaults, but you can choose any from our color palette. Simply click on the colored box to select a new color.

Re-ordering

Clicking and dragging the "two lines" icon on the left of the option can re-order the options.

Default option

Clicking the checkbox on the right of the option will make it the default selection.

When performing a checklist, this option will be selected automatically when the checklist loads. This can be useful to match an audit process ("defaults to negative unless user clicks positive"), or make audits faster.

Deleting

Click on the "X" at the right of the option to remove it completely.

Text Input

Clicking the box "Text Input" will provide a text box for the user to type an answer. This can be useful for dynamic values that cannot be represented by static options. Meter readings, opinions, etc. are good reasons to use text inputs.

The word "Input" can be edited, and it will be the "suggestion text" in the mobile app when the users are performing a checklist.
